This module is offered to Fire Hero Learning Network Users under a cooperative agreement with FM. To take this module, you will be transferred from the Fire Hero Learning Network (FHLN) to the FM Fire Service Learning Network. You will need an FM Fire Service Learning Network account to take this module. If you already have an FM Fire Service Learning Network account that uses the same email as your FHLN account, you will not have to sign in again. This program provides a brief overview of lithium-ion battery cell technology moving to a discussion of lithium-ion battery hazards and fire protection systems to mitigate those hazards. The module will focus on lithium-ion battery storage in warehouses. The module will include examples of lithium-ion battery testing by FM in the development of fire protection recommendations for these facilities. The module will conclude with a discussion on pre-planning at facilities with large quantities of lithium-ion batteries.
